Im glad you jsut brought that up. I jsut got home and yes, I challenged him finally today. On the straght away we dragged from 60-100 amazingly it was neck and neck I was amazed how the fact that I even was keeping neck to him. I started my steptronic into third gear and let it go. He was at the same time when he floored it too. I was surprised at first that we were neck and neck becasue I thought I would get killed in the race. maybe it was cuz oif shifting? I was at 4th gear when we came to 100. He followed me to out on some high top mountain roads. I was on 2nd gear most of the time shifting up to 3rd and back to 2nd on really tight turns going at least 40 from what I remeber looking at my speedometer and Im talking about really tight curvy roads. He knew the road well to but truely to say, I beat him big time on the twisties. I did not have my video camera but my DSLR was hooked up for it and had it set or timing. I have some shots of hte curved roads. I proudly say that this is why BMW holds the crown for saying The Ultimate Drving machine. After the race he was cool about it but overall it was fun. not for seeing whos better but it was fun.
With an auto tranny this is a good result too. You're so compromised with the slushbox, especially when you're powering hard out of bends. My mum's manual 325i is just so quick compared to the auto equivalent.

Show us some pics when you get the chance.

But, if the Mustang he was racing also had an auto, then this really isn't much of a surprise. Auto Mustang GTs are complete and total dogs.
