Chesty Bonds - it doesn't really bother me that it costs more to drive, what bothers me is it will effect anything and everythign on the market. EVERYTHING made by a petroleum product, everything delivered on a truck, plane, boat, etc., and, well, EVERYTHING associated any way with a petroleum product will raise in price to make up for the costs. THAT is what the serious problem is.
Yes I see what you mean Eric but I just cannot fathom why people who drive big, heavy 4WD's start to complain about how much petrol is costing them when all they have to do is start using it more wisely: i.e., buy a more fuel-efficient car.

If we used less fuel per head (as we should) then the price of it wouldn't be as much of an issue.

On my way to school yesterday I saw ( for 93 ) 3.60, 3.56, 3.80, 3.99, and Im thinking to myself... "oww my wallet." Then I see 3.19. Pull it behind the line of hording people who are trying to get the cheapest gas. This next week is really going to suck.

i keep seeing 3.99 for 93 on my way to work but the 87 and 89 is around 3.29 and 3.39...

is this what they call price gouging on the 93? Or is 93 having other problems??

I went to fill up my tank last night and there was an H2 and an Escalade at the gas station. I bet it actually hurts for them to say "fill it up" these days.

Holy crap, I forgot about the Excursion. That thing has a 44 gallon fuel tank. If you fill up 40 gallons at $3 a gallon, that's $120, JEEEEEEEZ that's a lot. Ford doesn't even post fuel economy ratings for the Excursion on their website. I did some browsing and the turbo-diesel V8 delivers around 18mpg and the optional V10 gas engine will have you averaging only 10mpg supposedly. [chair]

Why are their diesels so inefficient?
Probably because they're crap. And probably also because the US Congress still kow-tows to the big manufacturers by making laws relating to fuel efficiency so stuffed with pork that it's almost a joke.

I broke my own record today, cost me $49.76 to fill up the M3. Gas prices today was $3.39, that's a jump of 20 cents in one day.

The little red light came on today and I couldn't bare saying good bye to the 50 in my pocket. Went to gas station and got the needle to the half tank mark with a 20 after about a 5 minute wait. Hoping it will go down soon, if not, we'll just get used to it and drive less.
