According to our professor there are different degrees, I posted something on another site that was totally whacked out and nobody believed it, the thing about mechanical and “man-made” stuff is it’s got limits on it but people say they can compose it to perform beyond those limits when there are obvious physics involved that constraint it to perform.

This one (my last one, have to do it 5 times), it depends on the individual knowledge of the device to conclude whether it’s true or not.

In most cases people who have no knowledge on it either lie their way into it and try and argue the statement or the majority say nothing. Those who actually have knowledge on the situation did actually put up some strong statements. A final thought, sorry about the Def Leopard statement actually I like all music, that’s another thing those who are typically lying in a situation place statements about there dislikes, that helped get the ball rolling.

I think it was GREAT...

You certainly got peoples attention.

Most of the responses were very, very intelligent.

Some of the subjects covered: Physics, Nitros Systems, aerodynamics and flightline

regulations...

I was actually more impressed with the threads than with the study itself.

But then again, we do drive BMW's...

bmw046series,

I have to say that I'm impressed. You certainly did get people's attention. This was an interesting situation - you're right, if you had told this to someone who knew little to nothing about the physics of automobiles or the realities of nitrous, they would have totally believed you and the response would have been very different. This should make for an interesting report for you.

By the way, you could easily run a 125 shot of N2O, but I have no idea how long a BMW engine would survive with those kind of cylinder pressures. I've got a buddy who has a '91 Mustang street/strip stroker that runs a 250 shot. Granted, it's not a stock engine and is very different from a BMW six, but it's an amazing feeling to be accelerating hard and then spray a 250 shot! I do know that you can usually safely run a 150 shot on a stock small block Chevy. You just can't spray it constantly. He's been trying to talk me into putting a nitrous system on my ETA. [screwy]

Now where's my salary for being a lab test subject?? [:D]

Talk to the director of the University on that one, problem with N20 is it really does wreck an engine, your shifting the engine from hot and cold too much too quick and that will create a Snap! Crackle! Pop! I was actually reading something on that about N20 British pilots use to use N20 in there planes (I think in WWII), and American jets never used them and the life on the American Jets was double, interesting.

I wouldn’t do it; it will just bring down the life.

You know why is it BMW really hasn’t introduced an enormous super/sport car, like something with equal HP of an Aston Martin DB9 or the HP of the new Mustang, weird? I realize every car is sporty enough but usually companies try and cover the market of every flavor its customers have a knack for?

Why tell a lie? I have enough trouble remembering the truth. BTW one reason I love BMW is because they use ALL NATURAL POWER. The industry shows that any car company can make a high hp vehicle with a TC/SC.

Ew dude, we were test subjects in this whole Z4/645 argument? What a waste of our time....seriously [:(]
Find another "test" forum...this BMW forum is one of the calmest and coolest automotive forums on the web....don't come here and disturb our peace.
