I was going to post this but was afraid the anti-American auto sentiment would be too harsh. (it has leaf springs[B)] ) [joke]

This car makes me happy to be a chevy fan.

I've already started dropping hints on my wife about this beast. [hihi]

That will outhandle a CSL. I wouldn't say its not capable.

It's just got a cavalier (SORRY COBALT) steering wheel. I dont like chevy products but it's a hot car.

No I'm serious. Have you seen the quality (or lack of) up close? Goto a GM dealer and compare the Z06 build quality to a 325i.
And one of the most notible improvements of the C6 is build quality. Sorry but the z06 you saw was the C5 and was sub-par.

I know, top gear thinks the build quality is bad because of plastic, etc. But last time I checked, my M has alot of plastic and all of the speakers rattle.

345 rear tires... [ohcrap]

POS thats what it is. POS.
funny you should say that. It was just today that I was reading in a magazine that GM is having LOTS of quality control issues and that they are having to offer ungodly amounts of cash incentives and rebatesjust to sell them, and in the end arent making hardly any money off of there cars. Last year they recalled more vehicles than they have sold in the last two years, how sad. My boss has noticed the "quality" of GM vehicles made in the last 20 years or so, and it has progressivly gotten worse. now the rest of the general public is starting to notice this. And I must say, in the 3 years ive been a mechanic, i am beginning to like GM less and less, they are not at the bottom of the chain, but rapidly approaching it, and I used to be a hardcore GM fan, Im starting to feel a bit salty for it too. Trust me - i'm nobody to back up GM's quality at ALL - I would never buy one becuase of that, but they have seriously improved, and if anyone can find me a car that performs like that for 60 grand, well, be my guest.

Beautifull car, sounds like it can kick the shit out of any BMW ///M, to include the up coming E60 M5. Lighter, More HP, MORE TQ, all for thousands less. Who wouldnt consider this C6?

Did you know the 645i coupe has the same torque as the new vette.

I have a question for you why DOES GM put the hand brake on the PASSENGER SIDE! They do that on every single car that has a center hand brake, the Envoy, Trailblazer, Cavalier, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM!

By the looks of those pictures it looks like they are using a better quaility plastic now.

Acceleration is good, too, with BMW saying 0-60 is possible in 5.5 seconds. The 645 dishes up a strong 4.4-liter V-8 that pounds out 325 horsepower and a 330 torque rating. That's serious muscle.

Although I probably should point out that the new Chevrolet Corvette that's debuting right now offers 350 horses and a 360 torque rating.

Trust me that isn't that big of a difference.
