Personally, I have always like the handling of Bridgestone's upper end tires over everything else that I've tried. I haven't tried the Goodyear Eagle F1s yet, but would like to. As for the others that I've tried, here's how I would rank them...
2. Toyo Proxes T1s (almost as good as Bridgestone S-03)
3. Michelin Pilot Sport (too much $$, too short tread life, but otherwise awesome!)
4. Yokohama AVS Sport (Too short tread life, not as good in rain as above)
5. Kumho (great tire for the price, only two 19" sizes tho)
6. Dunlop Sport 9000 (average, prefer above tires for same or lower $$)
7. Contis (good comfort, less performance)
8. Pirelli (quit trying this brand after I couldn't get last set to balance)

B-Stone's Potenza S-03 Pole Position is a great tire. I just got a set of Nitto Extreme 555 and am currently putting them through their paces. They have taken the beating very well so far, equal if not better than the s-03. The nitto's are amazing wet and dry, I feel glued to the road.

I have some crappy Toyo's on the bimer that came with it and they suck. Terrible in rain and even worse in snow. The front even slips out on tight corners on dry pavement. They do make a nice sound when I roll them around in the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts! I can get sideways on the 1-2 and even leave a little patch if im really rockin' on them!

Unless Michelin makes some big changes I wont buy from them again. I had a supposed ly really nice set of MXV4R's on the Lincoln and they just couldnt take the power, they came apart in chunks and were also terrible on wet roads.

My car came with two sets of Pirelli's(Pzero's for summer 17's and Wintersport for winter 17's)
They have performed great so far and I usually drive pretty fast everyday and they have given no problems

Had some Kumho Ecsta Supra's at one time, very good tires for the $. Not extremely tough though, had to buy two new ones after locking up once on the highway (albeit cheaper than replacing the whole front end [;)] ).

I've gone through 12 sets on my '97 M3. After trying several different brands I must say that the Bridgestone potenza SO 2 and 3's are by far my choice. They stick like glue!!!! They wear a little faster than other brands but Id rather incur more expenses replacing tires than replacing cars!!!

i am michelin guy (not that i look it [hihi] ). i had the pilot sports on my two cars and both times i was and still am very satisfied. no complaints as far as performance on wet and dry road is concerned. sure, they wear out faster but that´s fine.
furthermore i tried some firestones (stock on my former golf) and bridgestone turanza (stock on my bimmer). both were bad. the firestone didn´t give any performance, but no wear, too. the turanzas wear fast, w/o performance.

for the rest of that list i am simply missing experience on those brands. so i voted michelin.

next one to try will be the good year eagle F1.

Pirelli PZero Nero - Incredible traction, better than the Falken and Kumho's I've had before - and claims double the treadlife! New type of tire, 1 month later and I *Still* have some little runner nips on the wheels.. (And I don't baby my Sasha..)

If i go by road tyres, that I've had any experience with, I'd have to go for Yokohama Tyre, however, if you ask me what I prefer brandwise (lol, yeah i bet youre wondering what the difference is [:p] ... none really), I like Michelin because they support the two best Formula 1 teams: McLaren and Williams. hehehehe

Also support Pirelli because Subaru uses them in the World Rally Championship!!

JamieD22, I have the Kumho tires right now and from what you said are pretty afraid now. Can you please give more information about what happened, how long you had the tires before it happened and what exactly happened to the tires? Thanks in advance, really appreciate it.
So far I like the Kumhos except for two things, they suck in rain and suck even more in snow. I guess you get what you pay for.

Personally, I am not going to vote because I have no brand loyalty. My car came with Michelin Pilot Sport's and I love them, but once they are worn down I think I am going to try Potenza S-03's. I really wanna try the Goodyear Eagle F1 (GS-D3) tires, but my tires are 225/45-18 in the front (245/45-18 in the rear) and Goodyear doesn't make the F1's in the 225/45-18 size. [bigcry]

Does anybody have any tire suggestions for me? I'm looking for a Max Performance Summer Tire in sizes 245/45-18 and 225/45-18. So far, my only alternative to the Pilot Sport's are the S-03's and I heard they have a very annoying tramline effect.

michelin/pirrellli if i can affod it.

michelin pilot's awesome, and i used the pirreli p6000 before, but they only fo up to H rated unlesu go pzero which only make down to 16'' rims and i got 15's. im surprised pirrellis not to high up there, the p6000's were the best tires i ever owned only thing is H rated, and though 75% the price of michelins, the wear so much faster.

I have the Michelins that came stock with the car, I think Energy mxv4 anyone know if they're good (traction/wear)?? They sure seem to do fine for me, they even took a curve without a sound at 130. Only I have notice sometimes theres little thin (rubber skin) thats on the edge of tire.
