I LOVE BMW with all my heart...........that being said, I would NEVER spend 380,000 on a BMW let alone a 3series........even if it was a GTR. Don't flame me I said I love the 3 series, just not for close to half a mil.
I agree. I was sitting there looking at the picture and I cannot understand how that could cost $380,000. An M3 is $50K, how can the M3 GTR cost so much more than that? I would rather spend $250K on a Ferrari F430.

The M3 GTR is like, mostly carbon fiber isnt it? And it has the M5's V8 I think.

But yea def not worth more than $120k. It should be priced around a 911 twin turbo.

What you guys need to realize is the M3 GTR is exactly that... A GT CAR. It doesnt count as a supercar, because it's a race car. It was never intended for use on the streets so it cant really be considered to be in the same league as the rest.

Id say the SLR and Zonda are my picks. All out performance in the Zonda with stunning looks, Chilling in what would be a silver batmobile with gullwing doors in the worlds fastest automatic, i.e SLR.

Im a sucker for benz what can i say...

SLR is cool but the auto trans is the biggest mistake ever.

You people need a Bimmer refresher course. Currently the quickest road car from a factory. 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and 380,000 dollars.

This could bear my children!

The Enzo gets my vote...how good would it feel to get up in the morning and see that in your garage after a cup of coffee!

Out of all the supercars, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 beats all. 16 cylinders, quad turbocharged, 15.8 psi, 1001hp, 922pound-feet torque, VW DSG 7 speed tranny, all wheel drive, and 253mph

Kind of what a supercar should be.

3.2 seconds thankyou very much. Remember that that was 11 years ago too!

IMO, nothing really comes close to the Macca in terms of the overall package, except maybe the Carrera GT. The attention to detail on the MacF1 is renowned; I mean, a titanium exhaust system and an engine bay lined with gold tells you a lot about this car yes? And the Macca still looks the goods to me. It's such a timeless design.

The Bugatti? IMO it's an aberration. It's not at all constructed with the desire to deliver the ultimate driving experience. If Maclaren (or Ferrari, or Porsce, or Pagani etc etc) wanted to they could've slapped 4 turbos on a disgustingly large engine too, but they chose to make a car that was an expression of real engineering talent. Maclaren never conceived the F1 to be the 'fastest car in the world'. They wanted to create a car that was the most focussed drivers tool available. I think they succeeded: non-assisted brakes and steering, NA V12 etc. The amazing acceleration and top speed numbers were a satisfying albeit unexpected result.

This, I think, is why the Macca remains the pinnacle of supercars, even to this day.
