Just starting a topic in the new Car Chat forum.

Saw one of these on the road today. Its not bad looking in person, the V8 sure sounded nice.

350hp, 0-60 in 5.3 seconds

For $32K would you guys buy one?

i dun think i'd buy one, but once the hype dies down a bit, i'm gonna walk into the showroom and take one out for a ride. 350 horses sounds real nice.

and yea, the styling is a bit bland, when was the last time gm make good on a outrageous design? i think that qualifies it as a sleeper.

Back to the GTO:

Would I buy one? Probably not. I like driving a car that is not 'over populated' on the road. I think the GTO will be successful, and will take the place of some the Grand Prix & Bonneville sales, so there will be a bunch of them on the road in several years.

Now, if they came out with a limited edition Judge with a SHAKER, that might get my attention!

"Here come the Judge, here come the Judge. Order in the courtroom 'cuz here come the Judge." Hehe, anybody know the story behind the Judge?

I had an '01 Pontiac Grand Am GT. Fast and handled well for a front driver. Also proved very reliable for the 30,000 miles I put on it. The new "goat" seems like alot of car to me. I like the lack of XXX styling. GM seems to be making a comeback. 'Bout f'in time!(Go USA)[burnout]

I like the GTO exterior styling....you can see the BMW and MBenz influence all over the place. As far as drivability.....I dont know cause I wont see it in Europe until the military car sales starts selling it to the soldiers over here....then I will tell ya about it until then BMW all day everyday!!!

I read multiple times in autoweek that the GTO wasnt coming out till december [???1]

Tom sure you didnt see a 1999 - 2002 grand prix?
Its was the GTO, single exhaust and black 350hp writing in the back. It was probably a dealer showcar since right above the 5.7 it says SS and it had a single oval chrome pipe cover.

After having owned a 1999, 2000 and 2002 Grand Prix GTP, the Pontiac GTO
was going to be my next one, but for the price, it wasnt too far off from a BMW........so the choice was between major horsepower versus a convertible........I think I made the right choice.........

It's just a highly tuned Opel Omega Elite...

...which some would say we're missing out on nothing, but I'm not sure.. maybe this has promise.
