This is an outrage....wtf?

With that said, the 7 will always be way way way hotter than this...the facelift models are sexy as hell.

And you guys wonder why I hate Japanese automakers so bad?

[:)]

Keep in mind the people that actually want big expensive Luxury cars, never take the Japanese into consideration--hell I dont think anybody should take them serious.

Far, that's a complete copy. Has anyone seen pics of the new 7 series coming out? Unofficial pics of the 2008 model were in my latest motoring mag...

"While instantly identifiable as a BMW, it lacks the current model's visual distractions."

It's going to have DAM (Dynamic Air Suspension), HUD, Lane Departure Warning and Eye-Movement Monitor. Looks interesting, a lot slicker, the rear end doesn't look as good as the current facelifted version though.

Let Lexus take BMW's old style. Ahem.

BWW has always been the Benchmark that I have always been proud of. Those Japanese car designers are running out of ideas & they cannot afford the risk. People, who truely know cars, know only BMW can provide us with the feeling we need. Other than that, it is just the same as replacing HONDA's logo with a Roundel Badge --- Lying to him/herself that he/she is driving a "ultimate Similiar Looking Machine" or stick with the reality, which is they cannot afford a 7er.

Sorry, but that's just wrong. Why do I see so many Lexuses on the road? Just because YOU don't look to the Japanese for a high end luxury car doesn't mean others don't. I probably see (from most common to least common): S-Class, Lexus LS, BMW 7, Jaguar XJ, Audi A8, Infiniti Q, VW Phaeton.

I'm talking about the people that "can" afford a $130,000 luxury saloon (well republicans).

The people that the price of the car doesn't matter.

They look in one direction - Europe.

A true sport sedan or racing car is rear wheel drive, due to the weight distribution, which varies the stabilities, plus height of center of gravity of the whole car varies the potential risk of rolling over, whenever accidents happen. Look at how many years Toyota spent on searching rear wheel drive, reflects why resume is essential for job interviews.

Not much people out there know why engine located in certain part of a car and the height of engine placed; strength & weight of material used; how the car will behave and what will happen if all variables are different. This category of knowledge is called automobile engineering.

Could you maybe scan it for us? I would really like to see this...they are redesigning it again?

I realise that Toyota takes all of its designs out of the German books, and other Jap (and American) manufacturers do the same, but contrary to what seems to be the general consensus on this board, a few japanese manufacturers do have their own identities, of whom Toyota IS NOT amongst.

not like its something new to fume over. maybe the merc ought to be pissed that the lex stopped copying them outright.

if that is indeed an official photo, and not some photochop, it totally looks like a copy. i wonder what the rest of the car looks like tho.
