Honestly, the New Range Rover is an amazing vehicle, but I am sick of it already. I see several of them each day around my area....they are super nice and presentable and an amazing luxury vehicle. But my uncle has one and I've been in it a few times and driven it once and it is an AWESOME machine, but it is very slow and clumsy around-town. All the car magazines said it was much more nimble than its pre-decessor and a much better vehicle on-road....I have no frame of reference (regarding the old Range Rover), but I was not satisfied. The ride is nice and smooth, but the vehicle is an absolute MAMMOTH and feels that way every second. Slow acceleration, leans like craaazy on the turns, etc. It is just a super-luxury SUV that is a beast off-road...its on-road manners are nice as long as you don't push it around.
My personal choice would easily be the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. It is simply the best of both worlds and a no-compromising SUV. It is the fastest and best-handling production SUV on Earth, and it is one of the best SUV's off-road (thanks to the Turbo model's standard height adjustable suspension). Interior room is decent, and I definitely dig the styling inside and out. The Cayenne (particularly the Turbo) is an amazing SUV and many people overlook everything it has to offer.
