Who knows if there ever will be a Bond again?
Haha, funny you should mention that. I just read a quote off Netscape.com today about the next bond and this persons chances of become 007...

"Since winning the Golden Globe, we have had a succession
of calls from (bettors) who think he would make an excellent
Bond."
--Spokesman for British bookmaker William Hill on the 4-1
odds Clive Owen is listed to become the next James Bond. Prior
to his winning the Golden Globe for his role in the sex drama
"Closer," Owen had been at 8-1.
We'll see. I like Clive, but do you guys/gals think he would be a good Bond? I say give him a chance and see...

He did well in the BMW Films but I don't think he'll make a good Bond. Pierce Brosnan was a very good new-age James Bond. A good Bond is basically a guy who a true pimp with women, appreciates the finer things in life, and looks good in action scenes. All you need to do is find a guy like that.

I agree with Emile, aside from Sean Connery, I think Pierce Brosnan has done an excellent job of playing Bond. Too bad he chose not to do anymore films after the last one which wasn't that good.

I liked Sean, Roger and Pierce as 007. I wish Pierce would change his mind and come back. They may have to go outside the realm and find an unknown to fill this void as any "known" actor is going to be scrutinized. An unknown will be as well, but he may get a fair shake compared to someone known to do "other" movies/parts and gets stereo typed...

I'll second that. Having seen all the BMW films Clive Owen is really good employing his feet to the pedals, but i'm not so sure about his charm factor. But he does have the accent..... Who knows, it'd at least be interesting to see him as the next Bond.

But.... back on subject with my list of cars:
E30 M3 - set for track use with 2.5 liter conversion, the usual go fast goodies
E36 M3 - minor upgrades (daily driver)
AA tuned M Coupe - (I can't say no to 500whp [burnout])
Ruf 911 turbo - again.... lots of fun
Ford GT (did I just put a domestic on here?)
The new M6 when it comes out.... (I saw some pics of it in BMW Car.... [bmwdance] )

Yeah, Colin Farrell really is Irish and speaks with an Irish accent (he hides it in his movies though). He's not a Bond guy.

Here's my final list, assuming I had a disposable income and I'm single:

-Bentley Continental GT as the daily driver (snow tires for the winter, and standard AWD)
-Porsche Carrera GT as the pleasure car

Yeah that's about it. It's a huge waste to own cars and not drive them almost daily.....they just sit in your garage and rot away, and I refuse to be a part of that.

No where near as pretty, brakes are no where near where the mercedes's are, handeling wise this machine is awesome. And its practical too. While the mclaren f1 is a rocket on wheels. I dont like it =/

Tiff needell is the main race car driver who has tested the F1 the most on the limits. he and fifth gear TV show has had the most intuitive test drive of the SLR and he says the biggest let down of the SLR is the handling. and says the SLR is THE rocket w/ wheels.

go to this bit torrent site and download the episode, Oct 18, 2004
among other episodes, Fifth Gear is the best car show

And the voice of reason rains through loud and clear. Thank you for pointing out the error of my gluttonous wishes. HAHAHA
