Parents buying their kids cars means nothing. Yes a lot of kids act like their the sh*t b/c their parents are rich but you guys act like every kid driving a BMW is like that. I am 16 and my dad bought me a very nice BMW about 5 months ago, but that doesn't say anything about me. I am not an only child, my sister also got a very nice car when she was 16. If it was my mom's choice we probably wouldn't have, but my dad loves cars and happens to have made some good money in his career (I'm not bragging, just saying). I don't take my nice car for granted at all, I pay all my insurance (quite a lot I must say) and all my gas money which I am proud of. I have worked very hard to be able to pay for this car and there is something to be said for that. I also have never thought my car made me any better of a person. When I got my car I only told my best friends cuz I didn't want people to think I'm a spoiled little rich kid. If strangers ask me what I drive I am usually shy and just say a used BMW (or even lie and say something else) b/c of the same reason, I don't want people to hate me b/c of what I drive. Obviously, everyone knows in my HS what I drive and a lot of people hate me and are jealous of me b/c of it, but I don't really care if people are that low. I've never bragged about it once at school, I've barely even told anyone. Granted a lot of kids who get nice cars are cocky and full of themselves and think they're the sh*t, I'm just saying we're not all like that. I have a few friends who have nice cars also and none of us think like that at all. It's only a car, that shows nothing about a person, even if their dad did buy it for them.
