Hehe, what do you think of this article?

BMW drivers try my temper

I'M declaring war on BMW drivers. I've had enough of their snooty ways.

And if I wasn't driving a 12-year-old tin can, I'd show 'em who's got the muscle.

Those I've met put other road-users' lives in danger just to show-off. They think their licence comes with the prerogative to tailgate, flash headlight, honk and generally act in the most obnoxious way possible .

And that the outside lane is the designated BMW lane.

Before you say I'm being unfair, may I point you to the Web, or what the rest of the world thinks?

WORST DRIVERS

Google 'BMW drivers' and 'worst drivers' and marvel at the undivided opinion.

A recent survey commissioned by Mitsubishi Motors also found that BMW drivers were the rudest.

This guy just has to learn to take his pos car into the slow lane, and he wouldn't ever have these problems. People just need to pay more attention to their rear view mirror, even if they are doing 10+ the speed limit, somebody always wants to go faster, fkn let them. Especially if they're a BMW driver.

Yeah it's true that a lot of BMW drivers give the rest of us bad names. But i still get royally pissed off when someone blocks the outside lane. Oh, and these d***heads that use their foglights at night? Now THAT is freakin' annoying [mad]

Who cares. If I'm trying to pass someone who isn't moving over, I'll flash my lights at them.

Though "Chesty Bonds" that makes abso-freakinlutely no sense.

"These dickheads that user their foglights at night?" Ummmmmm when am I supposed to use them? The day!?!?! Foglights improve your vision to the side of your cars. I'm not sure if it's like this in Melbourne, but out here you get a LOT of deer on the side of the roads. I won't turn the damn lights OFF.

ditto, the factory fogs on my car kick ass, and when im driving at night, i cant have enough light shining off of my car, when i drive, i have to be able to see, and if that means having the fogs on, then so-be-it.

BTW, BMW drivers were recently rated most likely to ge some over Porsche drivers, hehehe [hihi]

Um, foglights are for when it's foggy - not for when it's just dark mate. They aint' called foglights for no reason.

BTW, foglights are high-discharge lights that are, therefore, very bright and they blind oncoming drivers. People who use them at night do so only for a 'look at me' reason. Moreover, animals tend to stare at/follow bright lights so if your car is looking like the final approach at Heathrow airport then you probably have more chance of hitting a deer that jumps into the blinding light.

So are you saying you don't give a shit about oncoming drivers? No wonder BMW drivers have such a bad reputation.

High discharge? AKA Halogen or Xenon? You mean the same as my low beams and high beams? You make no sense and your argument is dumb. Obviously idiots over there don't know how to AIM their foglights - or they build them differently. Foglights are designed to light up the road in front of you and are generally aimed as to provide light to the road directly in front of and aside of you. I've NEVER had a complaint about foglights in my life.

Sorry "mate".

Maybe you should toughen up a bit.

Geez, i didn't know you had such an attitude. I wasnt looking for an argument but if you want one you can have it.

Foglights are specifically designed for FOGGY situations - i.e. when it's foggy (that means when it's not clear) you use foglights in order for other people to see your car and for you to see the road immediately in front of you. If foglights weren't brighter than normal driving lights then they wouldn't have been designed in the first place. They disperse the light through the water particles. Or is this concept too difficult for you to understand.

"Over here" we have lots of people using foglights for no other reason than to make thier cars look good and this is ILLEGAL. There is a reason for that. All this shit about having foglights light up the road in front of you at night is complete and utter nonsense. You don't need them at night but if you feel that it's necessary, well, then i suppose you have some sort of an inferiority complex. If you're struggling to see the road at night on the freeway and there is no-one else around then use your high-beams. Oh, and dont forget to turn them off for oncoming traffic. [thumb]

Wow....my foglights only provide better direct GROUND and side illumination. Not to say that there not some idiots out there that intentionally aim thier fog lights high as to blind on coming cars.....but every vehicle I have ever owned with foglights were pointed down and to the sides to provide better street illumination whether it be dark or foggy. I could only imagine that some of the back roads in the "out-back" would require extra illumination. Hey Chesty if you are being blinded by oncoming fog lights....i would chase the F'ers down and beat the shit out of them for being assholes......it is definately on purpose.

Driving around with fogs on when there is no fog...seems like something a Chevy Malibu owner does to show he made a Delco accessory purchase.

Fog lights are for fog.

FINALLY! Somebody who shares my displeasure with regards to inapproriate use of foglights. Using them when it 'aint foggy is an excercise in extending one's ego methinks.
