94 Intrepid..bought it off a 3 year lease for 14k (canadian)..3.5..all the toys. Thank heaven for an extended warranty..2 A/C units..rack and pinion strg unit...auto temp controllers(2). When the dealership rotated the tires, they didn't torque the alloys. When I took it back the next day cause it was vibrating, they had to use a freaking torch to take a wheel off. Left it for me with a big ole scorch mark on the rim...i'm serious....on a Monday, they put an intake gasket, then Wednesday, it was overheating, and it needed head gaskets. Power window switches, wiring harness, and thats just page one.. They did 20K plus work on it in 11 months..as I said, thank goodness for extended warranty...

The Chevy Chevette anything like Vauxhall's one? I owned a 77 Vauxhall Chevette coupe - It was old and a total POS. I had it for a week before I lost reverse - at that point I decided to thrash the poor thing. two days later and only 4th was left, plu s no clutch. Dumped it.

Next worse was a 1981 Mitsi Mirage with the economy/power shift. Cheap car, but no good.

I once drove a Lada Niva - one of the best 4x4 I have driven in terms of capability offroad, but on road - damn that thing was crap - the electrics were knackered, shook like a bitch, and 0-100 (0-62) was 33 sec. (the manual advertised it as 23 sec but it wasn't new when I drove it.)

But not all old cars are bad - my '86 Nissan navara pickup is great - slow and not comfortable to drive and bad handling, but economical, tough, reliable, and cheap. My dad has a 1942 WWII Willy's and we bash that thing around 4x4 tracks, the farm, and 4x4 competitions and rallys, and it never breaks - it is all original parts too (some are new, but still Willy's originals we get shipped in). My '89 bimmer rocks, and one of my favourite cars to drive was an old 60's mercedes my dad owned at one time.

I haven't really driven alot of cars. The worst would deffinately be those owned by my mom's side of the family. The Windstar and the Element are pretty sucky cars. My step-dad is in love with that Element. He's a freak. When they told me they were thinking about buying one, I thought they were joking. I prayed they were joking. Then I came home one day, and there it was. I cried.

On my dad's side, he doesn't have crappy cars. Out of an F150 4x4, '71 Chevelle and '98 328i, I guess the truck would be worst. It's 12 years old and starting to fall apart. But off-roading sure is fun.

My brother and I have had the fortune of having decent or good cars to drive. We both started on the '95 Accord before we got our Bimmers. I can't complain.

Well for me it is a toss-up between a 1983 Opel Kadett GTE or the 1989 Olds Cutlass Calais "S" I had.......but if pressured I would say the Calais. I had to replace the timing belt twice, heater core kept leaking....headliner falling out, automatic, Sideways engine!!!!!
Man that thing was a headache......then the month that I finally paid it off, some kids totally vandalized it while it was parked at my mothers house and I was stationed in Germany. I mean the lit a 'effin fire in the front seat!!! And I only could get Liability with that car(this was in like '97)....so it was basically a total loss.......but after that I have had a Dodge Shadow ES(why the hell didnt Dodge push that as a tuner car for the budget conscious? I mean that little ass car had a 3.0L V6 in it!) and a Honda CRX(best car honda ever made IMHO) and lastly two Bimmers....not going back anytime soon.......unless I find an Infiniti Dealer over here and get a G35 Sport Coupe before I get my M3!!!
