That sounds fishy. Sounds almost like a cover up. Why are they keeping the details from your father. I would ask to see the police report to find out what/how/where this happened. He has the right to know....

Lol. It's not my Dad, it's my friend's Dad....if it were my Dad, someone's...strike that, several people's asses would have been kicked by now. lol.

I agree he has the right to know, but there being all hush-hush about it; I'm sure he'll get all the details eventually.

Being hush hush about it just brings more suspicion to the dealer. Thats BS that they are not telling him any details about it...they have to. Thay have got to explain how in the F it got stolen and where and when it was recovered. BS.

Oops, my bad. I would have some asses too. :)

I am sure in time he will get the details. Lets just hope he gets the full truth. You know the dealer is trying hard to cover their asses. I don't blame them, but the customer has a right to know. I bet a leaked out news brief would get the ball rolling. If you know what I mean..... [80?]

I don't know about your friend's father, but I would demand all the information and if it is not provided, I would tell so many people that the dealership would be sorry they exist on earth and not mars.
