Why are Rice rockets annoying to YOU?

I dislike ricers because most of them confuse looks (good, bad or fugly) with performance.

I totally agree with Ghost and Kirby, there are definately some "tuners" prefer to call them that then ricers since they use there head and research and find out and not ask there dumbass friends for advice or movies. Even though I would never want an Asian car (my preference wise is European) but like Ghost said as long as they don't make any trouble, keep it safe and smart and semi-tastefull then so be it. But for now I can't wait to get a digital camera so I can snap some pictures of one of this kids ride Acura Integra 92 which instead of having add ons it has add offs lol. No muffler, No Filter, No Taste, No interior appeal, No nothing power .

I had my "rice" phase in high school. Big spoiler, fart can, and I almost bought an Avenger style body kit for my Probe. Looking back at it now, it was fun but sort of a waste of money. I say if they aren't driving reckless then more power to them. They don't bother me one bit as long as they stay out of my way on the highway. [driving2]

Some think its funny to cut you off and reduce there speed to the same as the car on the right in a two lane road and make you mad just because they want attention. Hows that for good stuff

Im not going to lie. I HATE RICE, there have been few ricers I have liked. Mainly the pipes, what the hell.... If you make a annoy highpicth loud buzzing POS noise your car goes fast? The mentality of rice just makes me wonder. And generally speaking the guys are just assholes. If you dont have a honda you dont belong on the road sort of a thing. Every day they try to start shit with me and when I ask them if they would like to bring it to a QM (then I win) they make up some gay ass excuse on why I had an unfair edge. I just like to reply "I didnt make you buy a shitty honda"

On the other hand there has been some very talented made ricers I have seen. Some of their cars (do i dare say?) I think look pretty cool (usualy aside from the horrible pipe)

Must IMHO, 99% of rice is gay and I hate the people that drive them

Man your car is cool, I'm looking to buy an older m3 myself . Truth be known my neighbors are philipino and since everyone goes by stereotypes when I first moved to were I live now I figured I was in for ricer hell, not at all. These people are respectfull and although they have crazy car parties they don't bother me in the middle of the night with their loud pipes. Besides what are the laws for how much sound your muffler can produce?? and laws about running your high beams all the time as well, if not common in your area around my city what seems to be becoming popular is to have "very low quality" lights that are tinted blue (make them look like xenons or something not sure ) and run the lights on High, I know this since I've seen them more than once and they are usually young people doing this not only to Asian cars but to SUV's or Trucks no idea why but I'm very interested in knowing this info maybe get some cops to write some tickets and leave me alone [fake]

Rice schmice. I don't go for the fart cans, or big wings, I find them annoying. But to each whatever they can own. Like Tom said it can be a 'phase' they might be going though (plenty of people have done scary things to BMW's too ya know). Or, it could be a result of a seizure... But really, just ignore them, or stomp the gas and go write a post in the kill forum if ya feel the need. Hey sometimes, the floorboard and your pedal have to meet, ya know?

As for the 'driving maneuvers' a few of you guys have mentioned, I see more people in SUV's and mini vans trying to be the next Dale Earnhart Jr, than I actually see the guys in the jazzed imports being silly.

It is understood that the term "ricer" is about cars that have modifications that do not benefit the car's efficiency and are not very attractive in the eyes of automotive enthusiasts, but there is no need to stereotype these "ricers", "PhatBimmer".

That's why high beams were invented. Drive with them on for a while and they'll move..

I don't really hate the "ricer" cars...It is the drivers that piss me off. EVERY day I get some freakin jerk off with his rice jammer car wanting to race me on the autobahn. . It is the whole "I am a Bad Ass because my car sounds like a turbo charged lawn mower" attitude. And the whole I am a gangster like Torreto from Fast and Furious gets me. I am stopping now before this turns into a 400 page docket.
