Mr. Elusive:

Well I would like to lease a new VW. In all seriousness I really can't afford to lease a car right now. I estimate $2000 in repairs, but since I have free heated storage for this E30 I can span the repairs out over a very long period of time. Ideally a GTI would be a VERY nice ride, and of course if I had the dough I'd lease/buy one. My parents aren't helping me out in any way on this BMW purchase. Their logic is: I have a car, why do I need another? TO me the reason is obvious [;)]

On purchasing BigDaddy's 750... I would again, if i had the dough. I would probably have to get it shipped here to MN and that would be a bitch to do. I odn't know how much he is asking, but this 325es is only $1200. Thats the main point of the sale. It's pretty inexpensive, and only has 129k on the drivetrain. In fact... this is the only way I can afford 2 cars. My SHO is paid for, and if I had to sell it the maximum amount I could get would be about $3200... probably less. Since my mom is offering me free storage in her condo then I thought this would be a good idea.

Once the sale goes through I'll post some pics when my digital camera gets in [:)]

My bad, wood_e I never checked your profile to see that you and I are the same age...I just assumed you were an adult, lol. Had I known you were younger, I wouldn't have suggested leasing...nobody wants to be in debt for 3 years while they're still a teenager!
When you get the car, be sure to post some pics for us. [:D]

If i were you and I had $4000.00 I would consider an early e34... that is the 1989-1995 5 series. I used to have a 535i. it has the 3.4L 208hp engine. It handled beautifully, went really fast and got relatively good gas mileage (about 19-23 mpg) the e-34 is much more technically advanced than the e-30 and I think it is a better looking car. I drove my 535i from 187-205K miles, and had no problems, drove better than most new cars.
