Speaking of a bad day, my friend moved out of his dorm today. He parked his vehicle (04 or 05 Lex RX330) about two blocks away from his dorm which is on 115th st and Broadway and when he came back to it, the headlights were gone. The headlights of our 03 RX300 were stolen once in Manhattan as well...I figured Lexus would have corrected this issue on the new RX but I guess not.

Geez, I don't feel so bad now. Out here there's very little traffic, but the traffic that is here still manages to screw up a perfectly good road. Like today, a car carrier semi crawled along beside an SUV pulling a trailer for 5 frickin' miles. Finally he managed to get past. There was no one in site in front of these two idiots and a ton of cars backed up behind them.

And yesterday some redneck in a pickup took offense at the fact that I was passing him, so he jumps on it as I came up beside him. Needless to say, he was no match for a 740iL Sport in sport mode and already on full throttle. But then he gets all pissed off at me after I pass him. Since when is passing someone a personal insult? [screwy]

MG, when it happened to our RX, they used a crowbar and forced/pried the hood open and then removed the headlights. I am assuming they used a similar technique for my friend's vehicle.

M_Six, I know how you feel in situations like that. One time I passed this car on a 2 lane road that turns into one lane....lots of room before it turned into one, but the car honked at me as I passed. I was like wtf????

Jay, feel free to take the pictures whenever you want. But if you post up a picture it really helps us (or at least me) as to how bad the damage is so we can give you some advice to fix it. A lot of us NJ/CT/NYC-ers deal with this scratch BS all the time, so we know just how to deal with it! [thumb]
