I wanted to comment on today’s car designs. I have to say that over the years I have always liked new car designs but have never rilly been wowed. Companies always come out with these great Concept cars but never follow them despite the public's love for them. Today that has changed, several car companies are giving the public what they want, those concepts are finally making it to the market.

The companies I want to congratulate are Ford, Mercedes, Cadillac, Audi, Nissan, Aston Martin. These companies are starting a trend with cars that bring the future to today. Ford is bringing back its roots into its cars. Mercedes has succeeded in making every car they make look like a million bucks. Cadillac has its new edge technology which looks amazing especially on the new SRX. Audi has created a view for itself with creative designs and performance to match. Aston Martin has made designs that make me ache for their cars. Individual cars I would like to mention are the Infiniti FX and Nissan 350Z with their sculpted designs, now becoming common on Nissans (including Infinitis which are made by Nissan).

While those companies are making brilliant designs still certain companies are behind mainly GM with the exception to Cadillac. Their designs are out dated and the few radical ones suck, might I bring up the Buick Rendezvous.

While I have to congratulate BMW for trying to create their own nitch, although it sucks. D** F** BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP Bangle for F****** up BMW designs. Not only have they completely given up their roots they didn’t even give them up for something better. But this thread is not about BMWs it is about the beauty of certain cars.

Yeah, gotta love those guns.

I rember when everyone ooed and awed about the Z3 when they had it on Bond, now BMWs dont stand a chance of being on another Bond movie at least for the time being.

These cars are a work of art. I deeply respect them; which is far less than I can say of anything new coming out of BMW.

Chrysler is starting to follow the trend.

Exactly what I have to say.

Oops I forgot Chrystler, they are definatly on my list of car companys. I always think of them as Mercedes. Their latest designs are so similar, the Chrystler Crossfire for example.

By the looks of that picture, that trunk cant hold much, and if it can you have no way to get it in.

Very beautiful cars there!

I think the Aston Martin tops them all, the British have never been good with car designs, they have certainly made a big improvement. The Aston Martin looks very bold and commanding, solid and mean, yet oh so elegant!

Gee...they make me feel like I'm on the wrong side of the competition!

You are. Tables are turning. Small companies often known for econoboxes are starting to design decent cars with good juices to back them up. German design is lacking this excitement and makes me wounder what my next car would be.

I think the new 6 series looks really good. But other than that, they aren't inspiring designs. I agree that the Infinity Fx (and sister Nissan Murano) are great designs.

I know Push...lately my faith in BMW has been on the rocks...
I often wonder what my next car would be. Before, it used to be like I had a lifetime contract with BMW!

I would be willing to move on to a Porsche 911.[driving] But I don't think my loan officer would agree.[?|]

I agree with all the manufactors coming out with nice new flashy cars....but i dont agree with you guys saying BMW hasnt been coming out with new designs, The new 7 series is awsome, and the 5, and the 6 thats coming out, and the Z4....no offense to anyone that disagrees with me though, but BMW is still putting out beautiful looking cars

not to insult you Euroguy but as far as this board goes, your opinion is one shared by few. The 7 looks huge and chunky, needs to be sent to fat camp. The 5 has headlights I cannot stand. The Z4 just looks strange all togther but not that bad, I could be happy with it. And the 6 is also strange but still looks good, several dont like the rear window on the new convertable however.
