This is becoming more and more common place over here, prolly in the states as well. Everyday, I mean EVERYDAY, I read about some kid who has just got himslf kill't on his motorcycle. I find this very disturbing considering what a German has to go through to get a Bike Licence, the average rider over here has been riding at least 5 years before they are allowed to ride anything bigger than a 500cc machine, I mean it is like working your way up a totem pole. Have to start with 80cc to 150cc to 250cc to 500cc and this process takes almost 5 years. ( my neighbor is a driving instructor). Yet I get passed left (and right) by these idiots driving nearly 200mph, if the average rider hit a freaking little stone on the road at that speed....2 words....CLOSED CASKET. I was stupid as a kid, but I think I had a bit more respect for bikes and cars than kids do these days. Maybe it was from helping my father built his '67 Shelby GT Cobra 350, and seeing the work and precision that goes into making a car "powerful" and the fact that I personally lost my best friend in High School to a motorcycle and a drunk driver. I know I am rambling...but It is an issue that I do ponder about ....alot.

A friend of mine recently died from a car accident. Although she usually drank and drove, she wasn't drinking that night and a man ran a red light and put her in critical condition and she died from complications a couple of weeks later. point is that i hate careless idiot drivers
Sorry about your loss Fran, sometimes makes you realize your own mortality doesn't it? My thoughts are with you.[:)]
