cuz I was drunk and coked out and I crashed it. I'm not allowed to drink or do drugs anymore, I've been sober for several months now and I got my car back under the condition that I continue being sober and continue working.
Great news! Good job on walking the staight and narrow.....

You can look at it one way. Just think of all the mileage you saved on her..... [headbang]

Hey,

So I am planning on ordering a new car no later by the end of the summer, probably at the end of this month. It is among the following the cars:

BMW Z4 3.0si Roadster 6MT (really great lease rates right now).
BMW Z4 M Roadster 6MT (pricey, but it's an ///M).
BMW X3 3.0si 6AT (jack of all trades, master of none).
BMW 335xi Sedan 6MT (nice all-weather sports sedan, but high lease rates).
MB ML320 CDI 6AT (nice all-weather car, will last a long time).
MB SLK350 6MT (MB's balloon loan makes this expensive car easy to afford).
Ford Mustang GT Convertible (very affordable, will look good for years to come).

Any of the following cars will be leased and/or financed depending on current lease and finance rates, as well as my budget. For the most part, I can afford all of these cars fully loaded.

Thanks,

Hey Emile,

Glad to hear you're clean and sober, and that you survived and learned from your crash. Both my brothers are sober from drugs, it's hard....but if they can do it, anyone can!

I don't think you will like the Mustang. It's fast, and sounds good, but I think the interior plastics and fit & finish will drive you to do drugs again [drinking]

I had an SLK, granted it was a 2001 SLK320, but it does feel like a girls car. I see tons here in L.A (the new one)., and don't recall ever seeing a guy driving one!

The 335xi will suit your weather well, has free maintenance and the 3er (as you know) generally has the best reliability. A safe, if not boring bet.

The ML320 CDI is a great car, with awesome mileage and torque. Again, a safe and kinda boring bet, but I think it would serve you well.

If you really don't care...but the Z4 and X3 will be totally new at the end of 2008. Not good if you don't like them, and want to trade in an old model.

Good Luck, and keep us posted!

Thanks for the posts guys. The G35 only has 6,400 miles or so on it so I want to drive it some more. Now that I have it out of storage, I've realized that I do not want to give up driving stick shift. I do not want to give up driving a smaller, sporty car. That being said, I am going to keep driving the G35C until the new M3 comes out. I will take too much of a hit if I try to get out of the lease now (about $5,000-$6,000).
