no 56k... who's still on dial-up?

When I travel, if I can justify the business use of paying for high speed, the company pays for it. Not too hard to justify since I am IT Director! Otherwise, I use dial up in a hotel. I usually turn off images, avatars, etc. to make it faster.
What ticks me off is the attitude of hotel chains about providing high speed service. Many times I stay in Hilton family hotels - Hilton, Doubletree, Hampton Inn. Hampton Inn is the cheapest of the family ($80 - $105 a night) and you typically get FREE high speed access.
Hilton and DoubleTree are more expensive ($115 - $250 a night) and most of them charge $10.00 a day for high speed access. I guess they figure if you can afford to stay there, you can afford the extra cost, and I am contributing to Paris Hilton's upkeep. [slap]

i'm posting the rest, because its sooo wrong, but was funny as hell when i first heard it years ago in college.
Frank: And these South Park Cows are being absolutely [thump] molested by Middle Park. I haven't seen so many children molested since…
Frank: And he throws it to Kyle, the little Jewish kid.
Kyle: Oof. [runs towards the end zone, panting, Cowboys hot on his trail.]
Frank: Oh my! I haven't seen a Jew run like that since Poland, 1938!
Phil: Dude! [Frank recoils. The crowd cheers as Kyle scores]

As I said in an earlier post, Paris Hilton has no where to go but down from here. The article below proves my point. I don't really give a rat's @@@ about the controversy. It's just stupid and a bit sad that with the Hilton family name, money and fortune, promoting HAMBURGERS is the best that she can do. What's next for Paris Hilton? Selling "Perfect Sleazer" mattresses (40+ guys, remember Joey Heatherton, hehe?) on late night TV Infomercials?

"This commercial is basically soft-core porn," said Melissa Caldwell, research director for the PTC. "The way she moves, the way she puts her finger in her mouth -- it's very suggestive and very titillating."
