I hear ya! You said two cars had the visible sticker. How many E60's were on the lot? I'll assume more than two, but I'll also assume you have more valuable things to do w/ your time than inspect a bunch of cars at your local dealer! I'll move on as well, but again maybe I just got lucky on my car, but there is no such sticker/bar code/part number decal visible on my car.

I can't totally disagree w/ you that the intro of the E60 seemed a bit rushed and that BMW could have spent another year fine tuning the systems, particularly the Sirius and Navigation issues that plagued the 2004 cars. But BMW is not the only car maker where it is well known that you should avoid the first year of any new model, until the bugs are worked out.
Right on. I've seen it on every 5 series bumper that I've looked at. Maybe it gets splashed with mud and all and you can no longer see it? LOL. Actually, yes, I do have better things to do than check out stickers on the new 5 series. That's why I only took the time to check out a couple to make sure I wasn't making stuff up. I just happened to notice it in the first place cuz I was checking out the new headlights at the NY autoshow. The car was raised. Probably something nobody would ever notice, especially after the car gets on the road. It's just such a huge gap there.

Anyway, I wish I had Sirius! And you probably wouldn't want to go back to the Nav system given to me in 1998! I think mine runs on a Pentium 386 chip. It's so freakin' slow. LOL.
