Guys, I'm sure he probably had a driver's license on him. The guy just said he didn't have one so that they wouldn't know his identity - they were fully planning to destroy that car when they decided to go "take it for a spin." If you were stupid and immature enough to take a test drive with the intention of beating the hell out of a car, would you give them your driver's license beforehand?

salesman was an idiot. that said, what buch of jerkoffs.

i remember when i went to test drive a used Z. the guy told me that unless i had intention of buying, (taking financial info and other crap) no test drive. i was like, erm, how the hell do i know if i'd buy w/out a test drive? i was miffed, and dun think i'll ever wander into another nissan dealership, but he did protect his "baby"

stranger things have happened, think about it, it was very convenient that there was a camera outside of the car and inside the car during the burnout, at what apparently was a random spot to do a burn out, in the middle of the street. [scratch]

could be, but then again would someone want to screw up there tires and stuff???
You have to put yourself in the mentality of a Mustang owner. They do stuff like this for kicks. One of my best friends is a diehard Mustang owner, and I could easily see him and all of his Mustang buddies doing something like this even if it involves destroying the tires.

I just watched it, I thought the same thing - it's staged. The scene transitions and editing was too smooth, like it was planned, and the camera guy was very well positioned for all of the shots.

If it wasn't staged, how did they film the very last scene where the salesman was talking to his boss? No way they would have been able to film that?!?!?!

well at the beginning they said "get the second camera out" and they probably did the burn out right in front of the dealership so the other guy could get it on camera

Yeah, so just go into the dealership and like you wanna buy it. First you gotta sit down and run the numbers. Look at them and think about them, and then go for the test drive. After looking at numbers, the salesman will more likely than not, offer the test drive to you because a test drive is usually the convincing factor in a sale. When you take a test-drive of a car you wanna buy, you're so happy to be in it and driving it that you don't really think about the flaws or cons of the car that you will experience during ownership later down the road. You drive the car and you're so happy about it that you decide to get it.
Basically, the test drive is a very powerful thing for the salesman. Sometimes they are a bit sensitive about their test drive, but all you gotta do is challenge them. The "only a test drive if you're serious about buying line" is just a way of challenging you....they just wanna act like their car is "something special" and they wanna make sure you are serious about buying it.

Personally, I don't think it was staged. The footage thing barely holds water. Any footage you take that you want the world to see, you're gonna edit it before you post it up on the world wide web. Skip the bullshit and only show the good stuff. The outside camera is very random, but I don't think it was staged. The guy said to bring out the second camera as soon as they rolled up....the guy was probably just waiting there. Even if it was staged, would the Toyota employee who was "in on it" actually let those guys do a bigass burnout in front of the dealership? The salesman was not too fond of what the guy was doing, but I think half his comments were out of fear of his own personal safety and not for the car....the car isn't his and isn't going to be his so wtf does he care what the guys do.

there ya go... staged yet still funny stuff.

i was in trainging for my job a couple years ago, friend of mine, acting JUST LIKE this guy, convinced our roommate to borrow his rental solaris. while waiting outside for another person to head to the bars, this guy decides to do burn outs, doughnuts, and power slides right infront of the complex, not too far from where we pulled the car from the parking space, lmao. crazy people, but i dont hate - to have those size balls takes some skill.

good point.

that day i just wasn't feeling upto BSing.. this was while my roommate was taking delivery of his 3, so i went to the nissan dealership next door. (took the RX-8 out for a drive earlier in the week, so i figured i'll compare ^^;;) lately i've been sort of wanting to go and test drive again, but don't wanna put up w/ the hassle of going through the motions.. even if there is a remote chance that i'll trade in my car. like bryan did w/ his zhp.. S4 or M3 sounds great, but damn the financial responsibilities!! i'm barely making payments as it is..
