That's funny and reminds me of something I see regularly. In the parking garage in downtown Seattle I park at. There is a woman that is at least 65 (and I am being nice) that drives a "04" Black on Black M5. Still, to this day I do a double take when I see her leaving the garage. The bad part is when I pull up next to her in my M3 and she doesn't even give a wave, nod, or even and acknowledgment.
I see this quite a bit in downtown. I have seen at least 6-7 M5 in just the past month and half and not one will give any kind of acknowledgment. It’s a true shame
However, yesterday I was stuck in traffic (both sides were at a complete stop) and guess what I pull next to going the other way. It was a very very sweet and well-maintained BMW 850i. I roll my window down and the older gentleman does the same and I ask him, "Is that a 12 cylinder 850?” and he replies back that it is. I told him that it is very rare to see one anymore and that I love his car. He replies back, "Thanks I love it too. It has been a very good car". And just as I was driving away the yells, "but I really love the M's". That was a nice day. Two BMW enthusiast exchanging love for their and each others cars.
Damn, I love those cars….
