If it isn't built like a BMW, then it must be crap. What is it with these nimrods who think that BMW's way is the only way to build a car? [???1]
I think this new Miata looks pretty good, except for the rear taillights - way too ricey looking for me. I like the interior, except for the cheap plastic looking console.

Oh, I know he wasn't specifically GM bashing - it's just really stupid to get so pissed off because a non-BMW manufacturer designs their consoles with the parking brake on the passenger side. Imagine, there are still cars out there that have the parking brake as a foot pedal under the dash on the left side - what pieces of crap!
Well why don't they put the foot pedal brake on the passenger side then, that would be smart - they put foot pedals in trucks because most trucks don't have room (bench seats) smarter than a hand brake.
Have you ever needed to use the hand brake, try driving a car like this and try using it, IT'S INEFFICENT - the transmission tunnel is kind of in the way, it's like using SMG, just rubbish!

I don't think BMW is the end all be all - drive an Aston Martin, you will be floored at how crappy BMW can be, I test drove the Carrera GT when that came out, besides how mean and hard the car drives, it is by far worth $440,000!
Miatas' are just pathetic, just like Lexus, Honda, Acura, Toyota, well the whole Pacific Rim.

I had teh great "pleasure" to rent a car this weekend and check out some cars (Avis leaves the keys on the dash hehehe). If the Japanese cars above are pathetic, the American cars are putrid pieces of excrement for which "pathetic" is such a lofty status to which the Americans can never hope to attain.

I'm gonna have to agree with bmw046series. The passenger-side E-brake is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. It looks like a complete pain in my ass every time I wanna use the e-brake to start from a hill. But my main concern is if my passenger is one of those nosey, "touch first, ask questions later" types that will just pull that handle up without thinking about it and end up screwing me over (would be less than pleasant to have your passenger pull up the e-brake while driving on the highway at 60mph).
I like to think that sporty cars are very driver-oriented. With the e-brake on the passenger side, who the hell does the car company have in mind? It's as if they were drunk when thinking of the location for the e-brake or something....

you are the most anti-BMW BMW owner i have ever come across. although i agree with you that people get overly-all-bmw, you still get [thumbd][thumbd]
