ok hers the NA debut of lotus elise.

i bleieve 1600 lb, 190hp, 1.10g on the skidpad. supposedly best handling car is the world. its low, light, short and wide. makes sense right ? btw ferrari enzo pulls 1.06, 911-0.96, m3--0.92.

amazing. cept bc of us emmsisons std they must use a japanese motor.

Although, aside from BMW's I'm a Saab-nut so I was there most of the time.
i wasnt impressed by it. if fact i was dissapointed but i felt the same way u did but with the wrx. it really was calling me or sumthin. id take that anyday. whe i sat in it. . . it jsut felt right. that and when i sat inthe 645 [:)]

That's not necessarily a bad thing. The euro version had a very old and rough Rover engine that had less power. I wish Lotus woulda used the grey market Elise's ideas and just use the Type-R engine and tranny like those companies did. Honda's manual tranny is much better than Toyota's.

im not sayin its bad. it actally has more hp. they were planing on 156, but when htye had to use teh motor form a celica gts they get 190, and they ahve teh tranny from it also. its a nice light engine.

yes in gerneral honda is much better but the type R has 200hp at 7900 rpms and like no torque. also it might have been to heavy/big bc remember the car is 12ft long and its a midship and needs to keep its wheight down.

also US made em add airbags which added weight.
