At first sign of hail, jump on top of car and make yourself as flat as possible and do the "making snow angel" motion VERY fast!!!
Or better yet, get your wife or girlfriend to do it. [;)]

Tom and Montana that is funny. However my brother said that when he lived in the south he carried a sleeping bag in his trunk and if he was caught in a hail storm he covered the car with it. His first option was to stop under an overpass.

Thanks for wishing me good luck, you guys are so nice, love this board! (P.S. - I don't drink and am not 21 yet so wine would be out of the question :), but I do plan on sleeping for the next year or so!)
Good for you. I'll have a glass in your honor then... Best wishes.

good luck on the MCAT. i don't know if it was an added stress to already stressful MCAT studying, or it was your way of venting the stress. either way, its good to know it was no where near as bad as you thought.

driving through and being in hail storms. (altho small ones in michigan) i am amazed that most cars handle pebble sized ice droplets quite well. (unless you get the ones from the day after tomorrow..)

btw, just to pick on you, wth were you doing waxing your car for 3 hrs, days before MCAT exam? or am i out of line?

Ozan, sorry about what happened to you and your car. hope you are ok, and the car is on its way to be ok.

I'm being lazy and not studying as much as I'm supposed to be at this point!

I'm just so tired, must...keep....going!

I think my reaction to the hail was actually pretty calm and collected, you should've seen me after my first door ding :), but I am pretty mentally exhausted, don't feel like dealing with any kind of "other" crap right now...but these kind of situations makes it hard not to.

Btw, a professor on campus just bought a brand NEW 2005/6? Acura RL 3.5 and I've been admiring it for the past few weeks, its black and looks really nice. I walked past it today as I usually do on my way to Virology lab and the roof, hood, and trunk of the car are now totally DESTROYED by the hail! It was such a horrible sight to see, but at the same time I felt so grateful that it didn't happen to my car...I feel SO sorry for whoever is the owner of it, his is brand new and mine is just a lease already in its 2nd year!
