Is it just me or does everyone else see some strong similarities between this and the TL?

Either way, that's one sweet looking car.
Deja Vu, I was thinking - 'That is a TL from the rear, with a Nissan front end??'

If it's produced (looks like it's still in the concept stage?) and if it's reliable, sure - it prolly could compare with the 'current' 3 series, at least in a straight line. Looks pretty crisp inside.

Never heard of Holden, I'm guessing this is a small company not in the states? Good goal to aim for, the 3 series that is.

It's the Australian arm of GM. Like Opel in Germany except Holden actually make cars specifically for OZ from the ground up.

Ahah! I have been edumacated! [:)]

That's a decent car for GM - but you did ruin it for me saying GM.. [;)] Then again sounds like they are 'seperate' over there than here in the states. How does Holden rate in OZ in general with it's other vehicles? (What do they compare to, and how do they do?)

That's a very good looking car - with the exception of the color choice.

Why don't they just bring holden as a whole to the US? Are they afriad it would become more popular than chevy or pontiac eventually?

Unless it gets a sedan version, it'll die in the States. No idea why Americans are just so opposed to hatchbacks. What the hell do they think SUVs are?

And yeah, why is GM so opposed to shipping Holden products out here? They make much more interesting cars than Chevy does. Chevy has the Corvette. After that, what?

Heres Holdens SSX concept of 2002......I see alot of similarities between the torana and the SSX. Hopefully they (Holden or gm) would bring out the torana in 07 and the SSX in 06-07 (with the new VE commodore).

SSX

Yeah, word...I'm a lefty, but I still prefer to do the shifting with my right hand. If anybody asked me to drive a right-hand-drive car that is manual, that would be like asking, "Hey can you ruin my car's transmission for me?" lol

the SSX looks really cool...better than the torana.

So why does GM design cars like this in australia and the ones in the USA are super crappy?

ditto on both points - I'm a lefty, but don't ask me to drive London-style.. [:)]

Man the English realm is a biatch to drive in, I'm sure it's normal if you were born to it.. Always gotta have someone that wants to be different.. [;)]
