My first car was a 74 Celica ST 3-speed automatic (bought used in 1978). I don't remember the engine size. I broke the timing chain on it and bent some valves after abusing the hell out of it.

I also owned an 84 Supra (bought used in 86). It was not called a Celica Supra. It had a 5-speed manual, an awesome digital dashboard, a trip computer, pop-up headlights and a 3.0 litre DOHC V-6.

Sorry; it was called Celica Supra until 1983. However the body style that you owned came out in 1982.

And BTW, the Supra has never had a V-style engine. The Engine in yours was either a 7MGT-E or a 7MG-E (depending on whether your's had a turbo; although I believe the turbo was not available until 1985, some 84 models still had turbos), and it is an inline 6.
