Another update:
The claims adjuster came today (finally!) and looked at it. The estimate comes out to $11,846 and I get the car back in approximately 22 days. This is gonna be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong month. [:(]
good luck on that 22 days... when that drunk lady smashed into my parked car the "month" it was supposed to take to fix it turned into 2 and a half. I was pretty pissed.

My repairs were supposed to take 11-14days...ended up over 80days....Don't hold your breathe. No matter how you try to push the matter along, it probably will not be enough.

And also, don't be too brash and dismissive about this lady not suing you. I do not think you are naive, but remember that most of the liability rests on your driving because you stated that you failed to yield to her; she had right of way. WHile you could make an argument that she did not do anything to avoid the accident, she could easily argue that she could not. And there really is no way of proving either case. People have sued over much less man, show some caution. I'm very glad that you have the moral character to admit full liability, but at the same time don't go around announcing your mistake to others.

Good Luck in your situation and I hope everything turns out awesome. AND BTW, your held up pretty darn well for her speed. I'm truly impressed at Nissan's design.

Cheers! Sean

Nah, it's actually okay. It's not a legal statement so it can't be used against me in court. The lady isn't sueing me (at least not yet) and she doesn't really have much of a case since she didn't do anything to try to avoid the accident.
Umm, whatever. Ask a lawyer. Any one that went to a law school. There's no such thing as a "legal statement." Ever hear of a jailhouse confession?

And you're going to school for what? Rocket science?

Dude, this is the first time I have seen this post. Really sorry about your accident. I wonder if the car will be the same after the repairs. Not to be negative but realistically I have never seen a car come out of repairs like that and be good as original. There will be stuff vibrating that didn't vibrate before and it will "feel" different, guaranteed.

I hope I am wrong.

It's not that simple. And yes, I am going to school for rocket science. You can be my test pilot, dipshit.

Nah, I'm past that part. Body shop guy already inspected the car and told me that the actual damage isn't bad. It's obviously a lot of body damage, but he said the frame wasn't hurt at all. Car will be restored back to 100% although no doubt the car will take a resale value hit just because it was in an accident. This doesn't affect me as my car is leased, but I really did want to return my baby accident-free by the end of my lease. [:(]
