Congrats! Back in the saddle again! By the way, that 318 posing as a 325 in the Reading newspaper is STILL being advertised. Nobody wants it...
Dan and Emile, I never thought I would own one so soon (I would still have the e30 if it weren't for the accident.)

I paid $3250 for it, and gave the guy (a laywer who works for a firm in Times Square...) my dell laptop! He actually needed a laptop... can you imagine the chances of that actually happening??
Heheh that's becuase it has a differential with more whine than a celebrity [hihi] The steering was wacky too, and most of the interior was missing [rofl]. I told him I would give him $1500 cash but he turned me down, haha. Originally he was asking $4500 which is more than a fair price for a car with 124k miles.

http://www.bmwboard.com/forum/showthread.php?p=125054#post125054 for pics! It's definitely a "10 foot car" right now (looks good from 10 feet away), but I'll be able to detail it real well in the spring.

Nice. The E34 has gorwn on me since I've had mine. The more I look at it, the more I love it.

Hey, at least yours is only a 10" car. Mine is quite a bit longer than that. The clear coat is coming off, causing the paint to be rather cloudy. I just tell people it's custom that way...

Anyway, congrats.

Congratulations..........really pretty in red.........I'm sure you will have it in immaculate shape before long.........

A salesman from my office just bought a 2002 525i for $30,000 with 24,000 miles.....I sat in it this afternoon and loved all the room compared to my little 3'er.

The great thing about the E34 is it isn't americanized either. It has such a stiff body.. much stiffer than the e30! Plus it drives like a small car (despite the huge shift throw).

Got you a little (BIG) project car. Looks way nice. If you put the time and love into this one as your E30....then she should be SUPER sweet before to long. Congrats

Hey Eric,

Just saw this posting...FINALLY :) So happy for you. I guess the old cliche of good things happen to those who wait actually held true. From a little 3er, to a big 5er with a sweet big engine. My aunt has a white 540i (E34), and it is her baby. Just ALWAYS keep up on the maintenance, and she will treat you right.

Again, Congratulations. You deserve this!!! [driving]

how are your rear subframe mounts/bushings? Mine need replacing before I can get it inspected.
Mine are probably in need of attention, too. I haven't taken a close look, though.

Depending on the cost, I'm probably going to do that soon.
