If they used the same head gaskets or rod bearings as their earlier turbo cars - then a few thousand miles I helped a friend rebuilt his 1991 eclipse gsx motor and we put a 16g turbo on. Blew the head gasket after about 4,000 miles
in the top gear vid they mention that there is a service interval....
11 or 15 thousand miles, i forget how much...but yeah that is a
HIGHLY stressed motor. by service interal they dont' mean oil
change they mean check all the hoses, regap the plugs all kinds
of crazy obd2 shit

Yeah, but Mitsubishi is FAR from new to the turbocharged rally car game. The EVO is like legendary (this IS the 8th generation of the Evolution, anyways), I'm sure Mitsubishi knows what they're doing with that little 2.0 liter motor as they have been using it for a long long time.
hyundai and kia arent from japan how dare you insult the most relaible car makers in the world and they are extremly cheap for how long they last my 91 integra had 225000 miles on it beat the piss out of it and that car never once let me sit i never even had to change the head gasket. a laser is a plymouth dude not from japan it may look like a 1st generation but that just competeing the laser was crap the turbo intercooled wasnt even quick and the turbo didnt even make it to a hundred thousand the had to be rebuilt around 75000 which is expensive. i had a honda prelude a 95 3rd generation vtec turboed and tons of upgrades i was pushing over 350 to my wheels yes wheels not flywheel wheels i spanked a firebird with a 350 ramjet and i wasnt even pushing alot of boost i wasnt even pushing half of what the turbo could do
and you wanna talk about chep fast easy to work on you know how much i spent for the car and turbo and did install my self??? 7500 thats with 6% sales tax and title and tags. nothing touched my prelude i was king then it was stolen bastards!!! on noverber 16th... now i bought a bmw.
btw my friend is working on twin turboing his m3 i wonder how that gonna turn out tahts gonna be crazy.
o and my prelude i stripped out my black leateher int to takin to the track once and when i was driving there i had to take off in second gear cuz i had my street tires on and the tire would just spin in first
i love hondas and bmws nothing else for me all others suck ans i hate american cars everyone thinks aw look at the little 4 when they roll up in there loud 8s runing headers so i roll down the window and say hey you wanna run that pos and they start swearing and yelling and say they gonna kick my ass then we race and i spank em then they really get mad hahaha once a guy pulled a gun on me cuz i beat him lol i was scared but thats a sore loser for ya
when i did my engine i rebuilt it all to lower compression so i could push the max my turbo could but never had to boost it cuz i never lost. but anyway i rebuilt it at 80000 with new everthing when it got stolen i was at almost 144000 never had a problem because i did it right the first time which is how its should be. and also it was a vtec which did you ever see liar liar with jim carey i am sure you have. right after his son made the wish and he was in court the next and asked for a bathroom break and in the bathroom he beat the piss out of him self well that a vtec engine they give all they got and stil some how give way more than that??? like i said hondas engine will by far out last the car. the body will rust in half before it dies and after it dies itll start up and get you home yet. my friends crx had an electrical problem the engine caught on fire after 5 mins of tryin to get it out it was extiguished he got in and drove the bitch home. now thats impressive i dont car what anyone says you can hate me for loving hondas but i stil love beemers just as much

i have driven an evo and there is no comparison to driving a bmw.. my 328i beat it in all catagories with the exception of straight line speed... who ever said the ride is hollow hit the nail on the head. it feels like you are borderline out of control at high speeds the bump steer is horrible to say the least. it is a typical Japanese car. as far as reliabillity.. i gve mittsu a B- i have friends that have 150,000 on thenm with no problems. but these cars had a charmed life.. my experience is that if you beat these cars at all (street racing) you will have problems... the engines and trans will not stand up. Honda an toyota are the bench mark for reliabillity with honda being the best of the bunch. i am a professional in the quality assurance business and honda's qailty systems should be the standard to which all companies should aspire to get to. everyone has left subaru out of this discussion they i believe are third on the list of the best Japanese an has to offer. the wrx sti is a great drive. 100% better than the evo in my opinion.. they just neet to work on the front aero dynamics a bit to relieve some of the float feeling you get at speed. I believe Kia will surpass hyundai as the leading korean car company if they haven't already. my wife has a kia sedona miniva. we have had minimal problems with it. for the cost and the warantee you cant beat it.
