Actually I think the president of honda or toyota or something got a speeding ticket while driving a mercedes or something...

You know I really don't think so, he has many other options, for example, Ford GT, Jaguar X-Type, Jaguar S-Type, Jaguar XJ, Jaguar XK, Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage. In fact I'm pretty sure its the Ford GT.

If I were the President of Hundo or Toyata I wouldn't drive their crap either.

Actually, that's part of the reason why there's a VW Phaeton. Their execs got sick of arriving to functions/meetings in a Passat when their BMW and Mercedes rivals got to show up in much nicer cars.

That Phaeton is a hell of a car, its a shame this is its last year here, then again, look at which way the resale value will go, look at the Eurovan.

I don't dispute it's a great car. It's just that for people in the market for a car that expensive, they expect status to go with it. Kinda tough to feel really exclusive when your car shares the same lot as a VW Golf or a Beetle. Especially with an A8 costing just about the same and sharing many of the same attributes.

LOL, like others have said, I bet thats why Ford bought Jaguar and Aston martin [:)]
