Would it look out-of-place for a teenager to be driving an E34? I mean does it have a sporty image, or a more luxury image? I really dont know much about E34, I only recently started to like it.
I think they can be very sporty looking. There is nothing like an overpowered big sedan...

depends on who you ask... consider that im 18 and bought the car while still in high school, my family mostly looks at the car as luxury as they are not performance oriented... while my friend views the car as comfort with enough performance (albeit mine being one of the least powerful models E34, the 5 speed makes up for it)... those who don't know anybetter think im rich... and others think i'm insane when i dig through the engine & do my own repairs...

Why? BMW's engines are all, for the most part, quite exceptional...[/QUOTE]

i htink bmws 6 clyclender engine is the best it sounds awsome and gets great gas milage and packs an awsome punch. it is the best in my opion cause it has the combonation of fuel effiecency and power. and nothing sounds quite like a 6. [clap] [bmwdance]

I agree on the gas mileage.. Regular driving I get in the 24 MPG range, and the highway (with a gentle touch on the pedal but still maintaining 75 MPH) I can get 32 MPG on my 328i w/ the top down. One section between Richmond and Fredricksburg I was able to maintain 44MPG for about a 8 mile stretch.. (OK mainly down hill..) Got to love that 2.8L mated to the 5 speed.

It's one fast and nimble car. BTW.. last time I checked the E34 didnt come in coupe or convertible... That alone makes it a vote for the E36..
