E36 or E34?

Which would you rather get, a E36 3 series or a E34 5 series? I'm shopping around and you can find either car in the same price range. I'm not talking about m3 and m5, just regulars, considering they are both in good condition, what would you rather have and why?

I'd get an E34. I just think a black E34 with the early grill is one hot machine!

If you've seen Ronin you'd know what I'm talking about.

Yea exactly the same feeling for me, I like the e36, but the e34 is just better looking for me.

E36, i have never really looked into an e34, although im sure its a great car.

i have a e34 right now. great car. i would never consider
a e36... e30 was hot, e46 is nice as hell. they e36 is like
the ugly duckling =]

but yeah avoid the 525i like the plague =]

I personally would go with an E36 but that is because there are so many more tuning and optic options for it than for the E34. And you dont have to stay away from a 525i, just make sure you get a later model 525i because the earlier models had some problems that were a pain to fix.

Wow looks like e34 wins. I don't know which styling I like better and pictures just don't do it. I guess I'm going to have to test drive both and see. If it's the E34, I'll probably be getting a I6 engine. With today's gas prices, I think I want to stay away from the V8.

Whichever one has the biggest engine you can afford, particularly on the E34.

That's the 540i Limited Edition yeah? With the three-stage suspension settings and worked V8. A family friend has one and MAN is it an angry car!

an e34 is such a nice car my dad would not let me get a e34 cuase they are more expensive to keep up then the e36. but it looks so good especailly if youve seen ronin as mentioned before. what a swet car. and the 6 kicks ass anyway. thats the way bmws should only come.

Why? BMW's engines are all, for the most part, quite exceptional...

A Black E34 is just the classic bimmer. When you think of a bimmer, you think of something that looks just like the E34, at least I do. Plus a black E34 is VERY mafioso looking

Would it look out-of-place for a teenager to be driving an E34? I mean does it have a sporty image, or a more luxury image? I really dont know much about E34, I only recently started to like it.
