The sport package on the early e36 as far as I know included seats, shocks (not sure about springs), not sure about the body, an LSD, and 16" wheels opposed to 15". At least thats what mine has thats different.
You're right - same with the other models I mentioned too (except all e34's in the USA got a limited slip, I think)

Bad role models, some of my old college friends got paid for college by their parents, but still applied for student loan for their bimmers. They called that an investment. [rolleyes] [rolleyes] [rolleyes] [:o] [:o] [:o] Don't learn from them!

I don't have any loans, I paid them off years ago...a side note I saw a nice looking e30 318is yesterday with an M3 badge on the back. It was a pretty pristine e30 and the M3 badge detracted from it beauty.

lost touch with them. Guess they are currently a CPAs or outstanding Financial Advisors or SALES, who sell us Bimmers or loans. Since they discover their talents in their early 20s. [nono] They trick their parents direct deposit their tuitions into their accounts. Heard a lot of them blew their credits.

How many of you are looking forward to the new 1-Series? I think it is going to be great. As long as it drives like a BMW, and I get my power seats, navigation, climate control, and auto-dimming mirrors, I am one happy camper. Interior quality and overall luxury and all that crap doesn't bother me much (obviously).

I just noticed the title. Good one, Shakespeare.:)

I think the 1er would be a very good little car. The type that I'd like to have for a wife or for offspring, although I wouldn't be giving it to my offspring, so it'd be more like one that I'd want them to get so that I could drive around in it.

Looks a lot like the Mazda 3 hatchback....I think BMW really has a chance with this to crack the low/mid market if they don't cheapen it up. Still, I wonder if they're concerned about cannibalizing Mini sales? Also, they've been tentative about going low end with the BMW brand since the 318ti. I had one of those, and loved it, but BMW felt it was a dismal failure. Of course, they also thought Z3 Coupe was a failure, but its the sickest enthusiast's car ever built in my calculated and thoroughly unbiased opinion...

Speaking of the 318ti, they did make a 'sport' version with the M front treatment and some other glitz. Not a bad car, but certainly not an M. Would have been fun if they shoved some real muscle under the hood, and one can only imagine what it would have done to sales....

I was just saying that if I were in the market for that type of car, I'd definitely go with the BMW. I still have another year on my lease and I don't want something practical.
Thought you are looking for sth for your girlfriend or sth small w/ 4 door for 2 more car seats. [idea]
