Hi,

I hope someone out there can help me with my thesis. I'm a fourth year undergrad student doing a thesis on lifestyle marketing with a case study on BMW and I was wondering if there were any BMW owners that are willing to share some information about themselves and their car.

I'm currently in need of two males in his late 20s, early 30s that currently own a BMW and live in an urban environment (NYC would be awesome), and a man who's in his 50s-60s who is young at heart and currently owns a BMW. Also, someone who's preferably open about his life because I need to analyze your lifestyle with the lifestyle BMW promises.

If you could volunteer your time to me, I will be forever grateful.

Please email me at bmwthesis@gmail.com if you fit any of the following criteria or if you have any tips for me.

Thank you,
Jin

Hilarious! Is there one for every BMW model?? That would be interesting...

By the way, I am 24, drive a BMW, and live in St. Louis if that helps you at all. I would love to help in any way because I got my undergrad in Marketing and I am currently getting my Grad degree in Business w/ an emphasis in Marketing. Plus, I took many Marketing Research classes and I know how tough it is to find people that are willing to take surveys...are you using SPSS? :)

I live in Chesterfield...

I went to Bradley University in Peoria, IL for my undergrad and I am going to Maryville for my Grad degree. Did you used to live in STL?

Where do you live in SoCal? I'll tell you, Tahoe is incredible, I don't know if you have ever been there...

I am a male in his late 20s who is about to get back into a BMW. I also live in an urban environment, albeit not NYC.

PM me with the details of your project.

And no, stich, I am not impotent or a dentist . . .

I have a problem with the thesis.... "The lifestyle BMW promises?" What lifestyle does BMW promise? It's just a car with great handling, and looks... I never met anyone at BMW claiming lifestyle improvements if you purchase a car.
Hmmmm, perhaps I shall comprise a list of feasible promises or rather implications.

They promise to:

1) Provide you with a quality automobile, provided you pay them for it?
2) Provide a car that runs?
3) Service your car under warranty?
4) Provide you with the (slighlty subjective) greatest handling sports sedan in its class?

In all honesty a little observation on your part and creativity would practically marginalize the need for using actual information from BMW drivers (or better put luxury car owners). The answers people give tend to be uniform and predictable. Infact, you can even infer the results. I think the study is a sham, and you're looking for a date... (not that there is anything wrong with that [;)]) I just do not buy the thesis, all luxury cars tend to carry a "certain status" with driving them and using "BMW promises" instead of "a luxury car in context with society or whatnot promises" (I'm not going to form a thesis, but my point has gotten across) is a little off.

[hihi] That's hillarious, a number of those actually seem true when I think it over. The rest are just, well ehhh...

Seems to me she's got an interesting idea for a thesis. BMW clearly markets & advertises that owning a BMW is indeed a lifestyle. Lots of students write papers and theses on BMW's marketing.

BMW advertises:
"Nothing rivals the exhilaration of The Ultimate Driving Machine®. An open road. Superb maneuvering. The rev of an eager engine. It’s what the BMW enthusiast expects every time they slip into the driver’s seat.

Extend that experience with the BMW Lifestyle Collection - an exclusive line of quality merchandise expertly crafted of the finest materials and fabrics, designed with the BMW enthusiast in mind. There’s something for everyone who cherishes their BMW."

There is a sort of unwritten promise here (a BMW improves your life) I think she's trying to research what people believe that promise is.

Stay True To Yourself - Enjoy True Bmw Dynamics

The poster claims that user will get pure strength, performance, quality, power, and technology. I got it all from mine. [headbang] [drinking] Do you? ... But truely not, when I deal with the client advisor. [nono] ... YeAh, it was true to myself that there was some (-ve) dynamics between me and him.

Everytime I see these ads, I feel so young, like still in my early 20s. But how can most of the 20s afford one of these?
