I just got my car back from the dealer and they cleaned the wheels better than I could with any stock product. I asked them how they got them so clean and they said they have a speical BMW acid that takes it off. I asked them if i could purchase some and they said no . it is proprietary to BMW and not sold on the market [headbang] [?|] .

Is this true ?

Thanks

Keith

Most likely its a store bought acid wash like Eric stated or a concentrated mix version sold specifically for commercial use.

i don't use acidic crap on my wheels. how do you think that acid works on your tires??!?!?1

i use some Turtle product that is acid free and works very well.

I bought the Turtle Wax wheel cleaner for mine.. its a lot worse than the Castrol GTX wheel cleaner I used to use.. Turtle wax cleaner needs water =/ [?|]

I use the armor-all stuff, works better than ANYTHING else I've used...and that is on old style basketweaves (read: hardest wheels to clean)

Try cleaning your wheels the best you can (using whatever acid and THEN paintcleaner to clean the hard spots) and wax them with ZAINO afterwards. From that moment on you will be able to clean the wheels with some regular car shampoo. Then once in a while add some new ZAINO to the wheels. I drive 25000 miles a year and have had no problems with cleaning brake dust since I started waxing my wheels.

thats kind of the point?? wash my car, wash my wheels. i use water when i wash my car, so its not a huge hassle to use it when i clean my wheels
