The more I look at it...the more I think its lines are just ridiculous. Worst of all...purposeless! Form over function.

I don't mean to be mean. I'm just looking at it...and as my German friend at school said right off the bat...it's uggggly. I've given it several looks and tried not be judgmental.

There's a bunch of drama going on in the sheet metal for no apparent reason. It's fussy.

Those awkward, inside door handles are going to cut off circulation to a leg rested against the door, like reviewers of the X3 complained. Total form, and road and track said they're difficult to pull on. The glare on the gimmicky pop up screen is total form over function (unless they're saving money by making the center consol standard).

Maybe I'm just not with what is 'in.' But I think these cars are going to date themselves real quick. The flame surfacing is already sparking a little trend. Has anyone seen the blatant rip off from VW (comlete with the same bumper cut).

Problem is I think this sort of styling, which might be all rage now, will be SO 2000's ten years from now. Then again, maybe it will be seen as the beginning of all that was new and fresh. From my gut, I just feel YUCK!
