PLEASE TELL ME IT'S TRUE!!!

Maybe our beloved BMW designs will come back in an even better form, even though it's nearly impossible to improve perfection.

Unfortunately, damage has been done. I don't think BMW listened to customers either. I think the head designer changes after a certain number of years or after he completes one entire range of cars. And you can't credit the E46 to him. He was only allowed to evolutionize the E36. The current 7 series is the epitome of a Bangle car.

I hope it's not true.

His designs will look "classic" within ten years. His is the Frank Gerey of car design and has assured that the company will stay young at heart.

This is actually true. Other car companies will and already have started following Bangle's theme. BMW's idea of "going ugly early" was a very bad choice in my opinion.
Ever since Fisker moved to Ford, their vehicles have been looking better, you have to admit. I really hope Fisker, back on BMW's team, will provide for some pizaz like BMW used to have over the car undustry. I only hope that droping Bangle (and not working with him to correct the flaws) wont hurt BMW in the long run!!!

.....BUT WHO CARES, LETS CELEBRATE! [cheers]

going offtopic for a second: if you scroll to the bottom of the page on that article, you will see a link to an article on the new Lexus GS, you guys should check it out, it gave me some more insight into where they got their design cueues from, I already believed that the new GS's overall shape had a stark resemblence to the latest Nissan Maxima, but seeing that article quite clearly shows some other designs Lexus shamelessly ripped off.

Give it a check, the GS used to be one of bimmers rivals back in the day!

Ya the GS does have a lot of design cues from the BMW.

They had another article that showed Chris Bangle and the BMW team were admiring the new GST that premiered at the show.

"OK, we know what you're thinking....but don't be so fast to jump to conclusions here...ALL the designers cruise around to look at the different vehicles...But, we will say, our spies saw more BMW people over the three day period, investigating this car more than ANYTHING else that was at the show.

Employees from ALL levels of the company.

The Spies predict BMW already has a competing vehicle in their future bags of tricks...."

There was also a pic of bangle in case you've never seen him before. He is the bald guy and the guy to the right of him is the head of Mercedes Benz design.

Lexuses are great cars, I have to admit, but I hate them. I hate them because all they do is rip shit off from BMW and Mercedes. Sons of bitches.
