Recently its been noted on CNN that OPEC might be cutting production by another million barrels per day. This means gas prices will increase even further before the summer season.

As a result of this, do you guys find yourself driving any less than before?

I try not to let the gas increases affect my driving pleasure. Even though I am upset about the price increases, IMO my love of driving and the perspective of it costing less than an average bottle of water surpass the negatives (for now). [burnout]

It hasn't/won't seriously affect my driving (or boating @ 3 - 4 mpg) at all. But I might use it as an "excuse" to ride the motorcycle more this summer!

Higher gas prices won't keep me out of my Bimmer. But, the 3 MPG I'm getting in my boat presents a whole other situation. That is going to hurt a bit more than usual.

Higher gas prices not really keeping me from driving. I get my money's worth with a full tank. Esp with a full tank of ultra 94. Sucks that its like 2 bucks a gallon, but like i said.. i get my money's worth, since i don't drive around in traffic. The car actually seems more zippy with the ultra 94.

I only have one car so I can't afford to choose. If I gotta drive, I drive. I try not to drive my BMW too much anyways, but that's more to preserve the mileage than anything to do with gas prices. My Civic's advantages sure are glaring right now. Great mileage and don't have to worry about door dings.

I drive the same as I always have. Maybe the truck a little less, and the roadster more. Now that spring is here and the weather is nice, maybe the roadster a lot more!

I would say no for everyday. But I have cancelled a 10-day trip in a motor home because the gas makes the trip too expensive. The company I was going to rent from is getting this a lot I guess because they are starting to call people and offer better rental rates. But I am going to the Caribbean and Florida instead.

We all need oil stock, at least for a while, those companies are make a ton of $$$$ right now.

DALLAS (CBS.MW) -- Energy futures rallied on the latest news out of OPEC and regular unleaded gasoline set a record high at the pump Tuesday, providing yet another boost to the shares of oil companies.

also if you gas up on the lake, its WAY WAY WAY more expensive. i remember gassing my car up with 93 octane for 1.60, and my boat with the same gas on the lake for like 275

would answering no entitle as more? other than erics answer, what reason would people have to drive more because the gas prices are up? so i guess you just tally same and no against the eye answers. :p

i drive the same here, but i think my car drinks faster now despite the price surge - damn rich mixture :-/

The same, although my wife drives my car a lot more when possible because it gets better mileage than her X5.

BTW I just paid 188.9 for 93 Hess yesterday. There is this one station about 1.5 miles from my house that has somehow managed to keep prices down. I have a feeling this will soon end though. All the other stations in the area are 193.9+ for 93. In case anyone is wondering, there is no such thing as 91 in Central Florida.

Worth the gas!

I cant think of a better way to burn gas than cruising around, say, Sanibel Island, perhaps then Key Largo, or Key West, maybe back up to Bonita Springs in this.

I think I would be willing to fill the 296 gallon tank. [:D]

The gas price increase has not changed my driving. After spending 3 years in Europe, you tend to appreciate gas prices a little more in the US, also, my BMW is pretty decent on gas milage. Now, if I was driving a Hummer or Lambo, might change my feelings a bit more......than again, if I could afford a Lambo, gas prices would probably not be a problem for me to worry about. [cheers]

What's the difference between answering "no" and "same?" Ah- anyway, my anser is no... or same? I always get the 93 super+ at Mobile and it's 1.79/gal. My mom fills up her car with regular from Wawa and both my parents think I'm insane for only getting super+. But then I look at what cars they are driving and I realize I'm the only sane one in my house.

No/same. Although we did scrap plans for a European driving vacation because fuel there is at $5/gallon and climbing. Close to $100 per tankful. Yikes! [screwy]
