Tool Fan - you are not alone. I got my X3 on my B-day last year. Got 19150 miles on that already. Out to sites a lot... Office is 30~ miles away from home.
Guess we are here to prove Bimmers have long lives...

Keep the X3 for family use and pickup a used SMART or a Fiat Punto for a beater. There are so many of them running around they gotta be fairly cheap used...
