I LOVE my Z4 its amazing, took it on the Ortega Highway, took the corners at 80+ mph, it just hugs the road, I LOVE the materials, they stand out and noone will mistake this for anything but a genuine BMW roadster, and the interior materials are very durable, i'm not afraid of destroying them and I enjoy that, as for the top, its very nice, minimal wind noise, even at 80mph on the freeway, and with the top up its fine too, I mean it has wind noise, but its not bad for a roadster most of it comes from the 18' sport pkg wheels honestly

You took corners at 80+ mph..... You mean highway bends, not curves and corners right? What's with this newfound exaggeration online?

That's awesome. I really like the Z4, I think it is easily my favorite roadster out on the road right now.

As for the RS4, I don't think it is supposed to be better than the M3 or the M5 or anything like that. Audi never really is successful at out-accelerating its competition, but they make up for that with a superb driving experience (Audi's driving character is simply amazing in its own right) and for the RS4 you only get it in the full manual tranny so only the true enthusiasts will be running around in them. Not to say that the M3 with SMG doesn't have its enthusiasts....most people around my area just buy an M3 for the sake of owning an M3....they know nothing about manual tranny and proper driving dynamics and they complain that the SMG is "too rough when changing gears"....DUH, that's how a manual IS!!!!

Hey Mike,

I agree and disagree with you [:D] While I agree that "top o da line" Bimmers are not for everyone, "top o da line" interior quality and feel should be for every Bimmer. The E46 323i and 325i were priced lower than your new X3...and they used many of the same quality feeling parts of the older 5 and 7 series. With the small engine 3ers, you might have been buying an "entry level" car...but many of the same materials and controls were in 330s and 5 and 7 Series.

I like you car a lot (especially the colour)....but it is obvious that BMW cost cutted on the materials, and hoped that the public would buy it and be happy just because there is a blue & white roundel on the hood.

This is exactly, EXACTLY the same situation MBZ had about 5 years ago. From being the BEST car in the world, to now having the worst reliability and customer satisfaction than Kia and Hyundai. They started cost cutting materials and their products...but people kept buying them because the 3 pointed star was on the hood. Eventually though, their new cheap materials and problematic cars bit them in the ass. Daimler Chrysler AG is having big problems financially and image wise. They are dumping hundreds of millions of € in trying to turn the company around. BMW should really study what happend to the company the made cars "Engineered unlike any other". By using cheap materials, and selling cars with tons of electrical problems...they are setting themselves up to replace MBZ in this lowest category of reliability and customer satisfaction.

Ok...I have now stepped of my Soap Box [8]
Sorry Bro'!!! The Top-0-da-line comment was not meant as sarcastic remark towards you or anyone else. I really love your collection. I was just stating that the build quality of the X3 is not bad, the interior is not bad. My 530i used to rattle a bit, even when it was spanking new, the X3 does not....at all. I just wanted to say that you turned in one of your high end BMW's for service and received an entry level Bimmer to replace it. Of course YOU are going to notice a HUGE difference, but for the average consumer, the X3 is a stellar automobile. [;)]
