The caption said he was sold the wrong lug nuts, they torqued on but slipped threads under load... DOH!! I'd be going after the salesperson!!!!

I immediately thought lug nuts not being tightened down, but says the were slipping...

I would definately be making a few phone calls.

that video was circulating on the rx-7 and rx-8 boards like mad when it first surfaced... really sad, cuz that's a really nice red FD too...

Odd that if they were the wrong ones they survived torquing and slipped under a load. I too would challenge the salesperson/compant.

FD's actually hold their value really well if they're in good condition. a friend of mine had a 95 red FD, similar to the one in the video, w/ low miles and still got almost $27k for it. not shabby for a 12 year old car... (he sold it to get a lotus instead- go figure.)
