Anybody at the Texas NASCAR race today? My brother is there in the UPS VIP Booth. They flew him and his wife over from California for the race. Wish I could be there too! [driving2]

Sorry have to disagree, if that were the case why can't the F-1 drivers and even Montoya do better than they do? Having crewed for a NASCAR Southwest Series car years ago I can tell you there is more to it than you think. And they do drive road courses as well.

I bet that cost them a good fortune.

Its good that it boils down to a driver's race. But for some reason I was never hooked on the whole series. I watch it when I'm hanging out with friends but that's pretty much it.

Um, yeah I had hell dealing with the traffic from the races at TMS! I live 5 miles from it. It was like a massive redneck exodus this morning on the highway.

I'm drawing a blank on the names of all the drivers that have gone from NASCAR to F1.
(Don't get me wrong Dan, I don't like NASCAR, or F1)

I do not know of any NASCAR drivers that have gone to F-1 or Champ, but there have been F-1 and Champ drivers that went to NASCAR and they do not do too good. Even touring car drivers like Juan Pablo Montoya, a former BMW driver, he is not a very good NASCAR driver. My point is it is not just get in and turn left, it takes a skill, a crew and some knowledge to compete.

Did you watch the race Dan? The last few laps were pretty good wheel to wheel racing until Johnson pulled ahead! Hendrick is doing an unbelievable job with his teams.
