Zaino to Zymol

My last BMW was a 1988 L6, and I recognize automotive paint has changed dramatically. In recent years, I have fiddled with lots of different waxes/paint protectors. Two I have liked are very different, Zymol, who says they are trying to "feed" the paint. And Zaino, who say they are building up layers of protection over the paint, but in my experience doesn't seem to last very long.

I recognize some of this is purely personal toe-mate-oh versus toe-maht-oh, but with a new car on the way, wondered if anyone has had particular luck with a particular wax and the new paints BMW is using?

Zaino to Zymol
Wow !! Congrats...BTW I love the Silver/grey color, you made an excellent choice there, that color will be inherently easier to maintain than Black (you already know this...lol).

I did buy Black, and the basket case that it is....with the proper use of Zaino products I have no swirls and nice gloss, I have not tried Zymol, but my brother likes it, and uses it on his 911.

I think you are in good shape with either and especially picking that color !!! I may have picked Silver/grey had I ordered all over again...[thumb]

All the best !!![:D]

I only have experience with Zymol, but I am also new to their higher-end products. The one thing I would say if you are going to use it is get it off quick and do not let it dry. I also just got Zaino on Friday and I am going to try it on a couple of things and test it.

I agree w/Bryan 100% about the Zymol... it is difficult to remove after it has dried [and] leaves
a lot of dust...

After waxing my car with Zymol I felt like I'd just gone 12 rounds w/Sugar Ray. [boxface]

The next wax on my Silver Gray Metallic will be with Zaino.

Has anyone heard of or used 'Zoop Seal' ??? They have a website. I saw it advertised on
'Trucks.' It's supposed to be a treatment used on your vehicle's wheels (not tires).

A 'once-a-year' type application that repels brake dust, pond-scum, etc...
