z3 running cold

i have a 2001 2.3 z3. when running at idle the temp gauge indicates normal temp however when i start to drive and the rpms start to pick up the temp gauge falls into the blue and indicates its running cold. can anyone give me any advice on this problem? thank you for your time. jeff baker oh ps i also have heat when running normal but have no heat when running cold

Thermostat is stuck open. You need a new thermostat.

bad thermostat, or bad fan clutch, or bad temperature sensor (the one for the gauges)





OR any combination of the above.

thanks i also forgot to mention that when the temp gauge is running normal i have heat but when it falls into the blue i have no heat
