That X5 is mad hot, the Imola Red makes the car look like it's straight from hell.

The car is like $72K brand new so try to get it in the low $60K range?

The X5 4.8is is really hot, and a great car. Besides from a need "software update" that left us stranded at an intersection the first week of ownership, the car has been pefrect. The build quality on the X5 is awesome, and the 4.8is is a blast to drive (I actually think it's more fun the the 545i/550i.

65k seems kinda steep. When we bought ours new in 2004, the sicker was $72,500, and we got it for $69,000. The poor on duty sales manager was fired the next week by the dealership owner for discounting the 4.8is. They were hoping to get over sticker. We felt awful. Luckily, he was re-hired the following year, and now is in charge of developing US Alpina sales.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the response Adam! Does the 4.8is come with pretty much every option or is there something important that they could have left out? I was trying to find the options and std features but the website is already converted to the new X5's.

The X5 4.8is comes with a lot of Standard features, but there are some options (which we have, and really, really Love!). Options include Navigation, Premium comfort seats and the slide out rear loading tray in the trunk/hatch. The Comfort seats are amazing, not only do they look so cool, but they are supremely comfortable.

Overall the X5 4.8is is one of the best BMWs ever sold IMO. I am getting quite excited about the 2007 X5. It seems it is only better (if that's even possible)! The X5 is the only SUV that can really accelerate into a turn, and still feel very stable. My Supercharged Range Rover was good, but the X5 handling is honestly better than a lot of sedans (American, Jap and German).

it is 2006 (for a few more days) 7000 miles.... it is still brandnew. I would be pissed with a 12k loss

I purchased a new X5 4.8is black sapphire metallic on black leather for $63,998.00 or $67,515.90 after 5% MA sales tax and registration and inspection. I found the car on Herbchambers.com. It was listed for almost 74k. Granted it is almost 07, i think that the price was a steal 06 or not. At first, the salesman tried to sell the car for me for $67K. I brought my laptop with me to the dealership and showed him the online "06 clearance" ad. At first, he told me that the ad was for a previous demo car that he had just sold a week prior. Then, he said the best he could do was $66k. I told him that it was unethical to list a car ad online and not honor the price. So I shook the salesman's hand and thanked him for his time. I got a call from him telling me that he would indeed honor the price after talking to his manager. I pick up the car this Monday. What do you fellas think? Should I have just waited for an 07 since the motors are quite similar?

tranp, I think you did pretty well on that new 4.8is. I know it's an old truck and the new model is out now, but the 4.8is is just such a kickass SUV that I would take old-school hotness over new-school.
