That is all I can say......... I had a Porsche Carrara4S and a Porsche Cayman for the weekend. Insane.... did I mention INSANE!!!! The Carrara handles like nobodys business and the Cayman is simply a Beast. 180mph on the Autobahn.... all I can say is WOW!!! I did not want to give them back up yesterday[bigcry] . Time to start playing the LOTTO.

If you were going to buy one of them, which would you choose and why?
The Cayman...... The 4S was awsome, I just liked the Cayman better, seemed like the fit and finish was better suited to me and for 100K less...... Great bang for the buck. I like the Cayman also because it is very unique, I see Carrara's all the time and Caymans only once in a great while (probably because they are new). The Cayman has a way better launch because it is rear wheel drive vs. the 4 wheel drive of the 4S. SORRY COSMOS.... I do LOVE your car though. However......... neither is practically suited for me right now...maybe in a few years after I kick my chillin's out of the house.

WTF!!! How did you get to baby sit those sick toys??
My in laws have some really "well-off" friends and he just bought a new 2007 Carrera Turbo. That thing is sick.... way to fast for me. And he is really good friends with the owner of the dealership and he let him have two for the weekend......... how cool is that?

The Cayman has been raved as a super-excellent handling car given its mid-engine.
I've read debates and comparisons between the 2 over and over on the Porsche forums.
Porsche will always keep their top of the line model 911 above the Cayman or Boxster.
Which means, the Cayman will never be as fast as the 911.
But IF both cars have the same amount of power, I'm sure the Cayman will have the advantage over the 911 on the track.

The Cayman is a 2-seater, while the Carrera has "rear seats"...err...yeah, only for toddlers!

You're also right about the C4S being heavier due to the AWD, and that taking away it's launch time. It is a little slower than the C2S, but then again, with 320 German horses, it's not really sluggish at all! The good points of the C4S is the looks, it has the same wide-body, suspension and brakes as the Turbo model. And it's supposed to handle really well in the wet, and snow. Though I haven't driven mine in rain yet! When it rains, I drive my Chevy S10....I know, I know!
