I just bought an 01' M5 and it has the DSP sound system, but does not have the M-Bass system. The car def. needs some help in the bass area! I see that Bavauto.com sells the "plug-n-play" Basslink system. Any feedback on this? They want about twice what the setup can be purchased for anywhere else, however I would still have to wire it. I would like any input on adding a very simple, clean subwoofer to this car. I don't want any ground pounding bass, just some added "umph" for my Classic Eagles CD's! Please advise.

hey steven welcome to the boards. I started with an Alumapro 8 1/2 in . single sub with a 150 watt 2 ch. amp . it worked fine. It can handle quite a bit of bump when you turn up the gain on the amp. I was surprised that a single8 sub would put out that much. good luck
